New Vande Bharat Express to Connect Rajasthan and Gujarat: Check Route, Timings, and Stoppages

Indian Railways has announced a major update for travelers in Western India with the approval of a new Vande Bharat Express service. This high-speed train will connect the beautiful city of Udaipur in Rajasthan with the bustling city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat. The Railway Board has officially greenlighted this route to make travel between the two states much faster and more comfortable. This new service is expected to be a big help for business travelers, tourists, and students who move between these two neighboring regions frequently.

The new Vande Bharat Express will run between Udaipur City and Asarwa, which is a key railway station in Ahmedabad. According to the official schedule, the train will operate six days a week, excluding Tuesdays. This frequency ensures that people have a reliable option for their daily or weekly commutes. The train is designed to provide a premium experience with modern amenities, including comfortable reclining seats, large windows for sightseeing, and improved safety features.

The timings for this journey have been carefully planned to benefit early travelers. The train numbered 26963 will depart from Udaipur City at six ten in the morning and reach Asarwa by ten twenty-five in the morning. On the return trip, train number 26964 will leave Asarwa at five forty-five in the evening and arrive back in Udaipur at ten at night. This schedule is perfect for someone who needs to visit Ahmedabad for work or a meeting and wants to return home on the same day.

To ensure that people in smaller towns also benefit from this high-speed link, the train will make three important commercial stops along the way. These stops are located at Zawar, Dungarpur, and Himmatnagar. By including these stations, the railway is providing better connectivity to tribal and semi-urban areas that previously had limited fast-travel options. The North Western Railway zone will be responsible for maintaining and operating this train, ensuring it runs smoothly and on time.

While this new service brings good news, it also comes with some changes to the existing rail map. The Railway Board has decided to stop running two other Vande Bharat trains to better manage the railway resources. The services between Udaipur and Jaipur will end on February fourteen, and the train between Udaipur and Agra Cantt will be discontinued from February fifteen. These changes are part of a larger plan to make the railway network more efficient and to focus on routes where there is the most demand for travel.

The introduction of the Udaipur-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express is a significant step in modernizing India’s rail infrastructure. These semi-high-speed trains are capable of reaching speeds up to one hundred and sixty kilometers per hour, which significantly reduces the time spent on the road. Beyond just speed, the trains offer a jerk-free ride, bio-vacuum toilets, and an onboard infotainment system. As more Vande Bharat trains are launched across the country, it is clear that the future of Indian rail travel is focused on speed, safety, and a much better passenger experience.

Indian Railways has approved a new Vande Bharat Express between Udaipur City and Asarwa (Ahmedabad), improving connectivity between Rajasthan and Gujarat. The train will operate six days a week with stops at Zawar, Dungarpur, and Himmatnagar. With morning departure and evening return timings, it enables same-day travel. The launch also replaces select existing Vande Bharat routes as part of network optimization.
