Indian Railways is a very important part of life for many people in the country. It is a cheap and easy way to travel long distances. Every day, millions of people depend on trains to go to work, visit family, or go on holiday. Because so many people use the trains, even a small change in the schedule can create a big problem for travellers. Recently, the Indian Railways announced some new changes for people travelling in the state of Rajasthan. If you are planning to travel between Udaipur and Jaipur, you need to read this news carefully before you leave your house.
The railway authorities are currently doing some important construction work on the train tracks. They are building a new underpass near the Dhankya station yard. This station is located in the Jaipur area. Building an underpass is a very big job and it takes a lot of time and heavy machinery. Because of this necessary work, the trains cannot run safely on their normal tracks. Therefore, the railway office has decided to make some temporary changes to keep all the passengers safe. Some trains are cancelled, some will take a different path, and some will run very late.

Let us first talk about the trains that will not complete their full journey. The train that runs from Jaipur to Udaipur City will see a change on the fifth of May. Normally, this train starts from Jaipur. However, on this specific date, it will only start its journey from Ajmer. This means people waiting in Jaipur will not be able to catch this train. In the same way, the train coming back from Udaipur City to Jaipur will also stop early on the fifth of May. It will start from Udaipur but it will end its journey at Ajmer station. It will not go all the way to Jaipur. Passengers must plan another way to travel between Ajmer and Jaipur on that day.
Sometimes, instead of cancelling a train, the railways change its path. This is called a route diversion. Only one train on this route has a new path. The train that travels from Shri Ganganagar to Bandra Terminus will take a different road on the third of May and the thirteenth of May. Usually, this train goes from Ringas to Jaipur and then to Phulera. Because of the construction, it will now go straight from Ringas to Phulera. It will completely skip the Jaipur station. If your ticket says you must board at Jaipur, you will need to find a new train.
Many passengers will also experience delays. The train from Ajmer to Sealdah will run late by one hour and forty minutes on the fifth of May. On the very same day, the train going from Jodhpur to Varanasi City will start its journey almost two hours late. Another train, travelling from Ajmer to Kishanganj, will also be delayed by two hours. These delays happen because trains have to wait for a clear and safe track while the workers are doing their job.
The Indian Railways works hard to take care of its passengers. They do not want to cause trouble, but this construction work is very important for the future. Building the new underpass will make the train journey smoother and safer later on. If you have a train ticket for the first two weeks of May on the Rajasthan route, you must be very careful. It is a very good idea to check the train schedule on the internet before you pack your bags. You can look at the official railway website or app to see the exact time of your train. Checking the new time table will save you from waiting at the station for many hours. Always stay informed and travel safely.
Indian Railways has announced temporary schedule changes on the Udaipur–Jaipur route due to underpass construction near Dhankya. Some trains will be partially cancelled, diverted, or delayed in early May. Passengers are advised to check updated timings online before travel to avoid inconvenience and ensure a smooth journey.
